Would you and your child like to participate in the Birthday Book Club? This program encourages recreational reading and the donated books will be enjoyed by St. John students for years to come.
This is how the program works: Birthday Book Club books are located in the display case next to the school office. Choose a book that your child will enjoy, fill out the simple form (also in the case) and write a $10 check payable to the school and give these to one of our friendly secretaries. At a Chapel gathering, close to the date of your child's' birthday, Mr. Leffler will present the book to him/her. A nameplate will have been placed in the book recording their gift. When your child has finished reading their special book, they return it to the school library so that it can be shared with other students. In the past, books have also been donated to celebrate a new baby in the family, a classmates birthday, to honor a teacher or in memory of someone dear to your child.
