CHAPEL OFFERINGSA list of the Chapel offerings for the first semester was included in the summer mailing. Our school has made a commitment to fill 125 bags with school supplies for children throughout the world who are in need. In order to reach our goal, we need each student in the school to participate. If you forget one week, you may still send the offering anytime during the next week. If you have misplaced your list of Chapel offerings, it is posted on our school’s website under Classrooms--Class Information.
CREATION ASSEMBLYBrian Young, founder of the Creation Instruction Association, will conduct a school assembly on Monday, September 15. Mr. Young has been a teacher and a principal, is nationally known, and has authored several books on the topic. Students in fourth through eighth grades will assemble in the gym from 1:30 until 3:00, and kindergarten through third grade students will join them at 2:15 until 3:00.

Dear St. John Families-
Hello again. Hope the school year is going well for all of you. I know my children have made the transition from the summer schedule to the school year schedule finally. It always amazes me how quickly that transition goes....
First, I would like to thank all of the parents who came out to help spread the mulch on the playground in August! The kids are so enjoying that space this year. Thank you for lending a hand, or a rake. :)
I am writing today because it has been brought to my attention that the St. John's Handymen are taking on a rather large project this Saturday, September 13th. They intend to paint the exterior of the Little Lamb School. If you enjoy painting and would like to lend a hand, they are meeting at 8 a.m. and working until noon. Bring a paint brush.
If the weather does not cooperate, other (interior) projects will be tackled at the church and school. They are always happy to have the extra help.
Hope to see you there-
Monica Taylor
PTF President

DO YOU KNOW YOUR TEACHER?
This year PTF asked each St. John Staff Member to fill out a survey about themselves. These Staff
Profiles have been compiled in a binder and are available for parents and staff to view whenever
needed. Included in the Profiles are questions about their favorite foods, hobbies, and wishes for
the classrooms. Each St. John class Room Representative has a copy of the profile for their
teacher/staff. PTF hopes that these Profiles aid in showing appreciation of our staff throughout
the school year.
