5/6 BOYS HEAD BASKETBALL COACH NEEDED

Attention anyone young at heart or who has a passion for basketball. The Athletic Department is looking for someone to head up the 5th and 6th grade boy’s basketball team.  We have a few great assistants who are ready to help you out.  The season is from the beginning of November to the beginning of February.  This would definitely fulfill your FAITH Hours. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact our A.D. Jeff Miller at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who supported the Fall Book Fair. It was a huge success. We raised enough money to purchase listening centers for the lower grades and the reading resource room. We would like to thank the many families who purchased books for the classrooms and the school library. The students are already enjoying these books.

Be watching for opportunities to volunteer during the February Book Fair.

Thanks again,
Christy Rivers and Faith Block

NEW MEMBER CLASS BEGINNING

A new member class for St. John Church begins this Sunday, September 21 at 9:30 in the Teachers' Lounge. This class covers the basics of Christianity as well as information unique to St. John Lutheran. This is an opportunity to examine the foundational beliefs of St. John School as taught in your child's religion class. If you aren't currently attending another congregation, this is your opportunity to get to know St. John Church better. If you can't make this first Sunday, come next week. All are welcome. --Pastor Jim Wright

NEW MEETING FORMAT

All new parents and those families interested in tuition payment and reimbursement programs are
invited to join our NEW PTF meeting format this month. This year we hope to introduce informational
meetings where you can ask questions about specific school programs. In the interest of time, we will
limit our "forum" to 30 minutes. Here's how it works-
1. Review the attached agenda.
2. Consider the questions you would like to ask the committee chair(s).
3. Come to the meeting and write your questions (or better yet, bring them with you in written form,
seperated by program)
4. A small announcement/ presentation will be given by the committe chair, then all written questions
submitted will be answered (as time allows)
5. Join us for refreshments following this brief informational meeting.
Childcare will be available as space allows. Come and join us this Tuesday, September 23rd at 6:30 - 7pm
in the Fellowship Hall. Don't forget, you get FAITH hours for attending the PTF monthly meeting.
(our regular business meeting will continue following the refreshments, you are welcome to stay)
