The Rebecca Caudill Committee presents 20 books each year for 4th through 8th graders to read. Then in February the students are able to vote on their favorite book. To be able to vote the student needs to read at least three of the books from the list. To verify that the student has read the book, an AR quiz needs to be taken.

To encourage more reading from the list, I have added an extra challenge. If 4th and 5th graders read 4 books, and 6th-8th graders read 5 books from the list, they will be invited to a pizza party in March. (The books students read this spring and summer count toward the student’s goal.) In addition to the pizza party, students will receive a Monical’s Individual Pizza coupon for every two Rebecca Caudill books they read.

The current list of Rebecca Caudill books is on the back of the sheet. Our school library has all of the titles as well as the Champaign Public Library. These books cover a wide variety of reading abilities, interests and topics. You may want to preview a book before your child reads it.
