NO SCHOOLThere will be no school on Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day. There will also be no school on Thursday, May 29th for Records Day. The last day of school with early dismissal at 10:00 will be on Friday, May 30th.
GRADUATIONKindergarten Graduation is tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. 8th Grade Graduation will be at 6:30 on Friday, May 30th in the sanctuary.
FAITH HOURSRemember to record all of your FAITH hours in the binder in the school office by the last day of school. During the first week of June, we will be sending statements to those families who have not fulfilled the required number of hours, at a rate of $20.00 per hour.
MEDICINEIf your child has medicine that has been kept at school, please come to the school office to pick it up by the last day of school.
SUMMER TUITION PAYMENTSSummer office hours are 9:00 – 11:00. You may make your summer tuition payments by stopping by the office during that time, using our drop box outside of the office doors or by mailing it to us at St. John Lutheran School Attn. Cindy

This is the last reminder to come to the office to sign up for the transportation reimbursement if you live farther than 1 and ½ miles from school.

Our school library is much too quiet now that students are not checking out books. Although most of our books and magazines have been returned, please continue to look for those that may still be out.
This week during Chapel we have celebrated the Baptismal Birthday of Damyan S.. What a great way to remember that special day! Several fine books have been donated to our library from Sara M. and Faye D., thank you both very much!

ST. JOHN LUTHERAN VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Ages 3 through children who have just completed 5th grade are welcome to come. St. John Lutheran Vacation Bible School begins on June 23rd – June 27th from 8:45 – 11:45 a.m. and will have its closing program on Sunday, June 29th at 9:30 a.m. There will be a family picnic at noon with a bounce house and a dunk tank and more! We have one more week of school left. Please remember to turn in your clean, rented wind suits and/or uniforms. If you paid for them, they are yours to keep for next track season. If you are in 8th grade and feel that you will never wear your uniform that you bought again, you may donate it back to the school if you wish.

SCRIP
Thank you for participating in St. John Scrip! Orders that were placed this week will be available for pick-up Wednesday, May 28th from 8 am – 3:15 pm. This is the last order during the 07-08 school year; however, Scrip WILL BE available during the summer. Orders will be placed once per month until school resumes in the fall. Then we will return to the regular bi-weekly schedule. Please see the attached summer and 08-09 School Year Scrip schedules.
St. John Scrip administrators are also looking into expanding the list of local retailers available for Scrip gift card purchasing. If you, a friend or family member owns or frequents a local business that you would like to see available for gift card purchases through St. John Scrip, please contact Laurie McDonald at 355-8511.

DANVILLE GARDENS GIFT CARDS
Thank you to all who had ordered Danville Gardens Gift Cards through our Plant Sale event this year. Today was the last day to order. As of Monday, May 19th, we had sold 443 cards through our sale. Our goal is 500 cards for this event. Updated goal information will be posted on the St. John’s website next week. Thanks again for all of your support this year, and Happy Planting!

We are once again sending home baggies for you to collect your Box Tops for the summer. Please save as many neatly trimmed Box Tops as you can. Watch for information this Fall about when to return the baggies. Thank you!
