St John Parents, Faculty Members, and Church Members,
The 5th Annual St John Track & Field Invitational will be held Saturday, April 5th, 2008, at the U of I Armory indoor facility. The track meet has become very popular with 13 teams participating from around the state. Past meets have been a great experience for all the participants and help as a fund raiser for St John athletics.
The track meet requires a large commitment on the part of St John to make it a success. We need approximately 50 volunteers to assist with various meet functions. Please consider assisting with this event in support of the St John students.
This commitment includes being at the U of I Armory from 9:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm on April 5th and attendance at a ½ hour meeting a week before the event. A knowledge of track and field is not needed for a majority of the volunteer opportunities. If you have helped in the past please consider being involved again this year and bring a friend to share in the experience.
Please contact Jeff Miller or Brad Luhrsen with the St John athletic department, Joy Lou Walker in the school office, or one of the track and field coaches Ed Drebes, Eric Potter, Karl Newman if you are able to volunteer any time to this event.

Box Tops Winter Collection
It is time to start turning in those nicely trimmed Box Tops. We will be actively collecting Box Tops until February 22. At that time the class with the most neatly trimmed Box Tops will win a class Ice Cream Party. The key words are neatly trimmed. For the Box Tops to count for the Ice Cream Party, the Box Tops need to be trimmed around the dotted line. Thank you for supporting our school.
