LIBRARY NEWS * LIBRARY NEWS * LIBRARY NEWS * LIBRARY NEWS * LIBRARY NEWS
Just before this school year began Laurie McDonald and Jean Eyman volunteered to
alphabetize the books in the library. Laurie also decorated the librarian desk with the assistance
of her daughter, Sarah. Thank you ladies, you got us off to a wonderful start!
The Birthday Book Club is also off to a great start. Already this year we have helped to
celebrate the birthdays of Lilyana W., Jared F. and Sara M. A huge thank
you to Kailyn D. and Cyndy P. for your thoughtful donation of books to share with your
fellow students here at St. John.
In His service,
Ronda Craig
St. John Librarian

$400 worth of Scholastic books for our school’s library! We must reach our customer
count goal as well as our sales dollar goal for this to happen, so every order counts!
Remember, the Free-quent buyer program is going on this Fall. Spend $35 pre-tax on 5
out of 6 orders September through February and with your $35 pre-tax orders in March,
April, and May you will receive free products of an Amazing Meal in a Bag, Snack size

Announcing ‘SCRIP’
What is SCRIP? SCRIP is a tuition reimbursement program. When parents,
grandparents, friends purchase SCRIP gift cards, they are purchasing negotiable gift
cards (not a credit card) that may be used just like cash. National and local retailers
use these gift cards where our families already shop. These merchants want to support
the schools, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with SCRIP at their
stores. The individuals who sign up with SCRIP through St. John can use SCRIP to
purchase everyday expenses such as food, clothing, gas, etc. These individuals can
then earn revenue for a designated child’s tuition with every purchase. (Anywhere from
2% - 25% of each purchase is returned to the designated child’s tuition account,
therefore reducing the amount of tuition paid out of pocket.)
In order for this exciting, innovative program to succeed, St. John is in need of a few
faithful volunteers on a regular monthly basis to assist with the administration of this
program. Please contact Laurie McDonald at 355.8511 if you would be able to donate a
few hours of your time once each month. Your service would allow this program to
succeed, be a great way to earn F.A.I.T.H. hours, be a huge benefit to our families, and
possibly be a factor in helping bring new families to our school.
