JUNIOR HIGH CHOIR SING
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir will be singing at the beginning of the 10:45 service this Sunday,
November 18th. The students are expected to be there by 10:40. Please notify me personally

LATE ARRIVALS
If your child arrives late to school (8:15 or later) for any reason, please bring them along with you to
the office to receive an admit slip before they head to their classroom.
CHAPEL OFFERINGS
Chapel offering for Nov. 21st is canned goods for St. John food pantry. Boys, please bring a box of
pasta (spaghetti, macaroni, etc). Girls, please bring a can of fruit.
SAVE THOSE USED INK CARTRIDGES AND OLD CELL PHONES
In addition to recycling used ink cartridges, the 7th grade class is also recycling your used cell phones
to raise money to help fund their upcoming trip to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. next year. The
donation boxes are outside the school office doors.
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART/HOOPS FOR HEART
St. John raised $2,282.60 for Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart. The Subway Club raised
$75.00. Top money raisers were: Will Welch - $205, Zak Stone - $127, Katie Carnahan - $103,
Sierra Seten - $100, Isabelle Seten - $100, Trent Greene - $75, Jacklyn Gunn - $75, David Black -
$75, Nate Block - $75 and Alex Cler - $75. Indiana Pacers Game Winners: Will Welch, Zak Stone,
Katie Carnahan and Jacob Meyer. Alternates are: Sierra and Isabelle Seten
HELP WANTED
The office is looking for one person who is willing to sort and put mail in teacher’s mailboxes every
day at the end of the school day (before pickup at 3:00).

Are you looking for a FAITH Hours project in our school library? I am looking for 2 more volunteers
on Friday, December 28 from 1:00 – 3:00 marking AR (accelerated reader) books. If this sounds like
something that you are interested in, please let Joy Lou know. Thank you for your consideration of
this way to help keep our St. John Library running smoothly.

LOST AND FOUND
Please check out our lost and found table outside of the school office. There are many nice items.
These items will be out on the table until Wednesday.
ATHLETICS
If anyone is interested in getting some FAITH hours and would like to decorate the athletic bulletin
board for Basketball, please contact the school office.
We are still missing a few volleyball and soccer uniforms. Please turn them in to the school office.
The basketball schedule is attached. This includes times for concession stand workers. If you cannot
work your shift in the concession stand, please find someone to fill in for you. Concession stand
workers who work the first shift of the night should be there 20 minutes before their shift
begins to start the popcorn popper and get things set up.

Market Day
Thank you to everyone who purchased pies at our November sale. Over $850 was raised through
the purchase of pies and cheesecakes to support the Class of 2009 in their fundraising efforts
for their Gettysburg trip next fall!
Following is a list of Market Day products that are available for sale. Prices include tax and are sold
on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in any of these items, please contact

Pie In the Face Assembly
Because we fell short on our goal of selling 500 pies and cheesecakes, the Pie in the Face Assembly
that would have been next Wednesday has been cancelled. You're off the hook, Mr. Leffler! The
good news is that 310 pies were sold giving the 7th grade class $852.50 toward their Gettysburg
trip for next year. Thanks to everyone who ordered
